no judgement

So, I realize that I haven't written in like 18 years, and for the two people who regularly follow my blog, I'm sorry. Things have been crazy, and in fact still are. However, things are starting to get better. The gala for my office was on April 2nd, and the good news is, it went well. Not only did I help with the planning, but I actually also sang at it. This was a whole new kind of stress that I don't even know how to explain. My parents and godmother actually flew to the city to check it out, so we sat in the back, ate, laughed, and had a great time. They are all fans of Jon Stewart, and they actually all got to meet him - so that was HUGE.

Next on my life list is performing in VLOG's KISS ME, KATE which opens on April 25 and runs for two weekends. My mom is coming back out for that, and the show is coming together well. Two of my fave NYC folks are in it with me, and it has been fun to hang out with them, and perform. In case you were curious, I do work in a brothel in the show within a show. Scandal.

The one thing that I have totally been missing out on are movies! I have seen next to nothing (totally devastating), and really won't be able to for the next couple weekends. I hope to get back to regular movie-going in May - which is good, because the summer movies are coming!

After meeting friends for Afghani food for Easter dinner, we were walking on the Lower East Side. I saw this sign, giggled, and had to take the picture. :)
